A minute-by-minute script for the live show, with cues for AV, speakers, lights, and stage transitions.
A run of show (also called a show flow or cue sheet) is the minute-by-minute master document for your live event. It lists every segment of the program — from doors opening to the final goodbye — with exact timings, responsible owners, and technical cues for AV, lighting, music, and stage transitions.
A good run of show answers three questions for every minute of the event: What is happening on stage? Who is responsible? What does the tech team need to do? Typical columns are: time, duration, segment name, speaker/talent, audio cue, video/slide cue, lighting cue, and notes.
The run of show is the shared source of truth for the show caller, AV team, stage manager, speakers, and moderators. During the event, the show caller reads from it to "call the show" — announcing each cue a few seconds before it happens.
