Not every organization runs a name-brand identity provider, and not every event tool supports the one you do. Register Streavent as an OIDC client

You register Streavent as an application in your OpenID Connect provider and exchange the client details.

Your provider verifies the identity and returns a signed OpenID Connect token. Streavent trusts the token and never stores a password, the same way every OIDC.

OpenID Connect is an open standard for single sign-on, built on top of OAuth 2.0, that lets an application delegate sign-in to an identity provider. Streavent supports it as a standards-based integration, so you can register Streavent as a client in your own OIDC provider and have your people sign in through it. Your provider verifies the identity and returns a signed token, and Streavent maps each account to a role for access.

Any provider that implements OpenID Connect. Because Streavent follows the standard rather than a single vendor, a compliant provider can be connected the same way, whether it is a major identity platform or your own in-house one. If you are not sure your provider is compliant, share the details and we will confirm it before your event.

No. With OpenID Connect the password stays with your provider and never reaches Streavent. Your provider verifies the identity and returns a signed token that confirms the sign-in. Streavent trusts that token, the same way every OIDC application does, so there is one less credential for you to secure and for your people to manage.

Yes. OpenID Connect is the flexible catch-all, but Streavent also speaks SAML 2.0 for providers that prefer it. Both are standards-based ways to connect single sign-on, and which one you use depends on your provider. Roles and access management work the same either way, so you keep one place to decide who reaches what once they are signed in.
