Learn moreStreavent joins Okta as a standards-based application over SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect. Your organizers and staff sign in with the Okta identity they already use, and IT grants or revokes event access from the same directory that governs your other tools.

The problem
When each event platform keeps its own accounts, IT gets one more directory to feed. New organizers wait for logins, freelancers get a shared password, and when someone leaves, event access is the one nobody remembers to remove. Okta puts Streavent back under one roof: one identity, granted and revoked in one place.
Data flow
The most common flows, each as a live sync.

Okta verifies who is signing in via SAML 2.0 or OIDC. Streavent takes over the login and turns your Okta groups into the right roles and access.

These are the most common flows, not all of them. Speakers, sponsors, agenda and more sync too, and you can create a whole event straight from your tool.
How it works
You add Streavent to your Okta dashboard as a SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect application, one tile among the apps you already run.
Okta decides who may sign in. Assign the Streavent app to a group, and everyone in it gets access, with no manual account creation and no credentials sent by.
Okta confirms the person, Streavent decides the scope. Each account maps to a role, so an organizer reaches the admin while support sees only what its job.
For your team
Streavent lives in the same directory as your other apps. Onboard someone by adding them to a group, offboard by removing them, and event access follows automatically.
Your event team opens Streavent from the Okta dashboard it already uses every morning. No separate credentials to remember, no reset requests before the event.
Multi-factor, session rules and conditional access stay defined in Okta and apply to the event too. Sign-in follows the same policy as the rest of your stack.

FAQ
Streavent is added to Okta as a standards-based application, using either SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect. Your team then signs in to the event through Okta instead of a separate Streavent password. Okta confirms the identity, and Streavent maps each account to a role that sets what it can access. Because assignment runs through Okta groups, granting and revoking event access happens in the same directory you already use for the rest of your tools.
Both. Okta can connect to Streavent over SAML 2.0 or over OpenID Connect, and either works as a standards-based integration. Which one you pick usually depends on how the rest of your Okta applications are set up. We configure the connection with your team, exchange the metadata or client details, and test the sign-in before your event goes live.
Yes. You assign the Streavent application to the Okta groups that should have access, and only members of those groups can sign in. Inside Streavent, each account maps to a role, so an organizer reaches the admin areas while support sees only what its task needs. Access is granted and removed by changing group membership in Okta.
When you remove a person from the assigned Okta group or deactivate them in Okta, their access to the event goes with it. That is the point of running Streavent through your identity provider: offboarding happens once, in Okta, and event access is not a separate account someone has to remember to close.
