One consent banner, from your site to your event

Cookiebot is the consent banner that governs your tags. You inject it into your Streavent event page through Google Tag Manager. The clever part: if visitors already consented on your main website, that consent carries to the event page automatically, and.

The problem

A second site means a second consent problem

Your event lives on its own page, so legally it is a second site that needs its own cookie consent. Get it wrong and two things break: either tags fire without permission, a GDPR risk, or nothing fires and your analytics go dark. Visitors who already accepted on your main site get asked all over again.

Your consent rules come along

Injected through GTM, Cookiebot brings the consent from your website onto your event page, where each visitor choice decides which of your tracking tags may fire.

These are the most common flows, not all of them. Speakers, sponsors, agenda and more sync too, and you can create a whole event straight from your tool.

How it works

Cookiebot via GTM, and consent follows the visitor

cookie

Inject Cookiebot through GTM

You add the Cookiebot tag to your Google Tag Manager container, and it loads on your Streavent event page. No separate embed to maintain inside the event tool.

shield

Website consent carries over

If a visitor already accepted cookies on your main website, Cookiebot recognises it and applies the same consent on the event page. They are not asked twice.

Every tag waits for permission

GA4, the Meta Pixel, the LinkedIn tag: each fires only after Cookiebot has consent. One banner governs the whole event page, in line with GDPR.

For your team

One event signal for your whole team

balance

Legal: one CMP, one record

The event page runs under the same consent management as your website, with Cookiebot logging every choice. No separate banner to review or defend.

campaign

Marketing: analytics that stay on

Because consent carries over, your GA4, Pixel and LinkedIn tags keep collecting on the event page instead of going dark behind a fresh banner.

event_available

Event team: nothing legal to build

You do not design a cookie banner per event. The container carries Cookiebot to every new event page, with consent handled the same way each time.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Cookiebot is embedded, not synced. You add the Cookiebot tag to your Google Tag Manager container, and GTM loads it on your Streavent event page. From there Cookiebot shows the consent banner and governs which tags may fire, exactly as it does on your main website. There is no data written back into Streavent, Cookiebot simply manages consent on the event page you already host with us.

Yes, and that is the point. If you already run Cookiebot and a visitor accepted cookies on your main website, Cookiebot recognises that consent and applies it on the event page too. Your visitors are not asked to accept a second time, and your GA4, Meta Pixel and LinkedIn tags keep collecting without interruption. If someone arrives fresh, they see the banner and decide there.

Because GTM already loads your other tags on the event page, so Cookiebot belongs in the same container. It loads first, sets the consent state, and every other tag in the container waits for it. You manage the banner, GA4, the Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn tag in one place, and the whole event page stays consistent with your website.

It is built for it. Streavent hosts your event pages in Germany with a data processing agreement in place, and Cookiebot handles consent as a certified CMP. Every tracking tag fires only after the visitor agrees, consent from your main site carries over, and each choice is logged. You get working analytics and a documented consent trail on the same event page.
